Order of the Arrow
The Order of the Arrow (OA) is Scouting’s national honor society — a brotherhood of Scouts and Scouters recognized for exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to the values of Scouting. Founded to promote the ideals of cheerful service and to recognize those who exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, the OA plays a vital role in strengthening units, supporting camp programs, and fostering a lifelong commitment to community and character.
Members of the OA have demonstrated outstanding camping spirit and leadership within their units and at council events. Through fellowship, service projects, leadership development programs, and traditions rooted in respect for nature and others, the OA empowers youth and adult members to become stronger leaders and contributors in Scouting and beyond.
