Cub Scouts (Grades K–5, Ages 5–10)

Cub Scouts is where Scouting begins, with a strong focus on fun, family involvement, and discovery. Kids participate in hands-on activities like STEM projects, nature hikes, simple camping experiences, biking, fishing, and community service—all designed to build confidence and curiosity. Meetings are typically just a few times per month, making Cub Scouts one of the best extracurricular activities for young kids without overwhelming family schedules. Parents and siblings are part of the experience, turning activities into quality time together.

Scouts BSA is a youth-led program where kids take on real responsibility, develop leadership skills, and learn to work as a team. Scouts plan campouts, lead meetings, and take part in outdoor adventures like backpacking and hiking, while also giving back through service projects. Many families appreciate that Scouts BSA complements sports and school activities—plenty of Scouts are also athletes, musicians, and honor students. This is the program where youth can work toward earning the Eagle Scout rank, a nationally recognized achievement valued by colleges and employers.

Venturing (Ages 13–21)

Venturing is a co-ed program designed for older teens who want more independence and adventure. Activities are often high-energy and interest-driven, including outdoor challenges, leadership experiences, and shared hobbies. Unlike weekly commitments, Venturing typically offers flexible schedules with monthly or semi-monthly events, making it a great fit for busy teens balancing sports, jobs, and academics. It’s Scouting on their terms—still meaningful, but built around real teenage schedules.
